The results of the first round of voting for the Tree and Flower awards have been posted: http://lotr-community.livejournal.com/
There are quite a number of my own favourites among the winners (some of which I nominated myself when nobody else had got to them first), and there are other excellent stories by well-established writers that I'd got around to reading for the first time for this.
But I'd like specifically to mention two very good writers that are relatively new to the fandom, Huinare and Alma Heart. Huin has a First Place in Favorite Crack!Fic and in Favorite characterization of Saruman and has placed in other categories as well. Alma Heart has won Third Place in Favorite Drama for We Shall Stand.
As for myself: Fingon for the win! Treebeard to the rescue! In other words, I got First Places in the categories of "member of the House of Finwe" and "minor canon character" for "After Rain" and "Lalme, Alalme". Fingon also assisted me to a First Place in Favorite Vignette.
Detailed results under the cut:
There is going to be another round of voting for the overall winner here:
Picking out just one story from that list is going to be really, really difficult.

Also, NEW: a birthday(!) chapter of Pandemonium's and Dreamflower's The Prisoner and the Hobbit: here (on SWG) and here (on MPTT)!
You can vote in only a single category, if you aren't interested in the others (and there's sure to be at least one category you are interested in), and you don't have to be a member either of MPTT or of the LJ community to vote. So don't lose your chance to vote for a story you like!
We are now up to about 27 voters, it seems...

So I would ask you to go to THIS POST and follow the links to the individual polls - you don't have to vote in every poll, you don't have to vote in each category of any poll (so I chose not to vote in some of the categories where I have stories competing) - but if you spot a favourite story or two, you could just vote for them. The polls will close on September 22nd - let's see if we can get some more participants before then!
This is a competition for stories posted to Many Paths to Tread by 3 August 2012 in honour of the Third Anniversary of the archive (rules are here) and for which thanks are due to the utterly heroic efforts of dreamflower02.
Voting will continue to 14 September and is open to all.
The MPTT site contains more Silm stories than you probably think. It also contains less fluff than you probably think (and who doesn't like a bit of fluff now and then, anyway?). Plus it contains a lot of other interesting stuff of all kinds worth exploring!
I've got a couple of my shorter stories on MPTT and some of these have been generously nominated:
( Titles and links under cut )
I've also nominated a number of great stories and many other great stories have been nominated by others. So go and read! Or go and vote!
