Seventeenth review re-post, the second today and the last in the series (apologies to those authors I did not manage to include).

This last review is of Clodia's Tales of Older Days, which is thoroughly wacky and thoroughly wonderful. And she has hinted there might be a continuation one day!

Sixteenth review re-post: Survival of the Fittest by Erulisse, the first story to make me consider wargs in any depth--and it is quite a frightening depth at that!

Fifteenth review re-post (the second one today: as I explained in my last post I'm running out of days for this project): Spring Cleaning by Russandol, a story that is irreverent in the very best sort of way and a great deal of fun into the bargain!

The last couple of posts in this series are coming up. It's not that I'm running out of talented authors to praise! But I'm running out of days for this project.

Fourteenth review re-post: "Into the Realms of Ulmo" by Dwimordene, the story that made me really believe in Sea Longing and understand Tuor so much better!

Thirteenth review re-post: Carmina Brethilia by Robinka, another WIP that I hope so much will be finished one day. Robinka can always be relied on for a fascinating portrayal of the Sindar, especially Beleg. This work also contains intriguing glimpses of the Haladin and strong, interesting OFCs.

Twelfth review re-post: A Rose By Any Other Name by Pandemonium_213, a story that is clever, inventive and very funny, not to mention delightful...

Eleventh review re-post: In Mordor, Where the Shadows Are by Marta, a story that will give you plenty to think about but also a moving portrait of Elrond and especially of his friendship with Gil-galad.

Tenth review re-post: Breaking Bread by Elleth, a deeply moving story that shows the damaged and the hurt beginning to reach out to each other.

The second of today's combined review re-posts and birthday greetings.
The review re-post is of A Powerful Absence by CuriousWombat, a most powerful story about the powerful absence that is death that nevertheless is not without its hopeful aspects.

I hope you are having a wonderful day, CuriousWombat! Many happy returns!

One of two review re-posts today due to two birthdays on my f-list:

This one is for Cost by Grey Gazania, an intense and compelling triple drabble that considers the shifting feelings of Maedhros toward his brothers Celegorm and Curufin.

Happy Birthday, Grey Gazania! Wishing you all the best and much inspiration for the coming year!

Seventh review re-post: The Tempered Steel by Lyra. I can think of at least three WIPs of Lyra's that I would very much like to see continued, but as The Tempered Steel features Maedhros and Fingon in Mithrim it is probably obvious why I picked this one for the review re-post series. (Yes, I am suffering from withdrawal symptoms.)
The review is a MEFA review written in 2010, but I think what I wrote then holds true of the later chapters as well.

Sixth review re-post:  "Istari, circa 1040 Third Age" by Huinare, an unusual and appealing tale of the newly-fledged (or newly-reduced) wizards trying to find their feet in Eriador. Sadly, this WIP has stalled a little, but it is believed that Olorin may be willing to arrange for further chapters to be written if bribed with a sufficient number of glasses of miruvor.
(My review was a B2MeM review for chapters 1-11.)

Fifth review re-post: Five Bells by Dawn Felagund. What to say? There can never be enough fic by Dawn; we are always waiting to devour her next story...

Fourth review re-post: The Noon-tide Night by Agelast (Moetushie, Zeen). So maybe you're inclined to feel that Maedhros and Fingon in Space is just a gimmick--but the transposition here works astoundingly well and she does very interesting things with the sci-fi aspect of it! And Maedhros and Fingon are desperately sad even in Space...

Third review re-post: Keiliss's Secret Garden, her story for the OEAM Big Bang, another story which will be continued, I hope!
Watch out for those plants; they might be RIGHT BEHIND you! Also, you will never guess who...
(This review was a B2MeM review of the first chapter and prologue. So it contains fewer spoilers--comparatively, for I'm hardly ever spoiler-free--but is a bit more incoherent than the MEFA reviews.)
